An FTP User Account is a username and password that can be used by one person or multiple people. On a per username basis you can lock each username into its own directory and set the write, read, change, delete and many more permissions. Each username can have thousands of people connecting to the FTP server at the same time to upload or download files. This is helpful when trying to share files with a large number of clients at one time.
